Discovering Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى):The One Who Created Everything (Written For Kids)

It was a sunny afternoon, and Ali, Abdullah, and Amina were sitting in the backyard with their Mom. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and the sky was a perfect shade of blue. Birds chirped in the distance, and the sound of laughter from nearby kids playing filled the air.

Ali was staring up at the sky, his eyes wide with wonder as clouds slowly drifted by. The vastness of the sky, with its shades of blue and golden sunlight, seemed endless to him. After a long moment, he tugged at his mother’s sleeve, his face filled with curiosity.

“Mom,” he began softly, still gazing upward, “who made the sky? It’s so big and beautiful! It feels like it never ends.”

Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى),The Creator of Everything:

His Mom looked at him with a gentle smile, appreciating the awe in his eyes. She paused for a moment, letting the question linger in the air, building a sense of mystery and wonder.

“Have you ever noticed how the sky changes?” she asked, her tone soft but full of excitement. “One moment it’s bright with the sun, the next it’s painted with the colors of sunset. And then, at night, it’s filled with stars, like tiny diamonds. Doesn’t it make you wonder how something so magnificent came to be?”

Ali nodded, his curiosity deepening. “Yeah! It’s like magic.”

His Mom chuckled warmly. “It feels like that, doesn’t it? But it’s even more amazing than magic. The One who made the sky, who placed the sun, the moon and the stars just where they need to be, is Allah. Allah, the Creator of everything. He made the sky, the earth, the oceans, and everything in between.”

“Everything?” Amina, the youngest, asked, her eyes wide with surprise. She looked around the garden, at the flowers, the trees, and even the tiny ants on the ground.

“Yes, Amina,” Mom nodded. “Everything you see—and even things you can’t see—are created by Allah. He made the sky, the earth, the stars, and the moon. He made the animals, the trees, and the mountains. And guess what? He made us too! The flowers that bloom, the birds that soar, the rain that falls—every bit of it was designed by Allah. The sky is like a reminder for us to look up and think about how powerful and caring Allah is. He created all of this for us, to show us His beauty and greatness.”

Ali smiled, his mind now brimming with thoughts of the vastness of Allah’s creations. “Wow, I want to learn more about Allah! If He made all of this, He must be so amazing!”

His mother nodded, her eyes twinkling. “And the more you learn, the more amazing it becomes.

Abdullah, who was busy examining a leaf, jumped in. “But how can Allah make everything, Mom? There’s so much in the world. It must be hard to make all of it!”

Mom chuckled softly. “It might seem hard to us, Abdullah, but Allah is the most powerful. He can do anything! He doesn’t get tired, and He doesn’t need help. In fact, when Allah wants something to exist, all He has to do is say ‘Be,’ and it happens!”

“Just like that?” Ali asked, snapping his fingers.

“Just like that,” Mom said, nodding. “Isn’t that amazing? Allah created everything in the universe, from the tiniest ant to the biggest mountains. And He did it perfectly.”

The Purpose Behind Creation:

Amina looked up again, her face scrunched in thought. “But why did Allah make all of this, Mom? Why did He make us?”

Mom’s face softened. “That’s a beautiful question, Amina. Allah made everything because He loves us. He made this world so we can live in it, learn from it, and worship Him. Allah wants us to see all the amazing things He made and be thankful. When we look at the stars, the trees, and even ourselves, we remember how great and kind Allah is.”

Abdullah sat up straight. “So, when I look at a tree, I should think about Allah?”

“Yes!” Mom smiled. “Every time we see something beautiful, we should remember that Allah created it for us. It’s a way of showing love to Allah by noticing the things He made.”

Ali stood up and walked to a nearby tree. He gently touched the bark, as if seeing it for the first time. “Allah made this tree, and it helps us breathe, right, Mom?”

“Exactly, Ali,” Mom said, proud of her son’s growing understanding. “Allah made everything with a purpose. Trees give us oxygen, rain gives us water, and the sun gives us warmth. All of it is a gift from Allah.”

Amina suddenly pointed to the sky. “And the stars! They twinkle so pretty at night! Did Allah make them too?”

Mom looked at her daughter with love. “Yes, sweetie, Allah made the stars to light up the night and help guide travelers. Each star is part of His amazing creation.”

“Wow,” Abdullah said softly. “Allah is so powerful. He made everything!”

Mom smiled at her children, happy to see the spark of understanding in their eyes. “Yes, my dear ones, Allah is our Creator. And He didn’t just create the world for us to live in—He created us with love, and He wants us to be kind, to help others, and to worship Him. We are part of His beautiful creation too.”

Appreciating Allah’s Gifts:

Ali turned to his siblings, his face serious. “So, we should say thank you to Allah for everything He made.”

Mom beamed with pride. “Yes, Ali. Every time we say ‘Alhamdulillah,’ we’re thanking Allah for His creation.”

Amina, who loved to sing, began to hum a little tune. “Alhamdulillah for the sky, alhamdulillah for the trees, alhamdulillah for you and me!”

Her brothers joined in, their little voices filling the garden with joy.

Mom closed her eyes and whispered a quiet “Alhamdulillah” herself. She knew these moments—sitting in the sun with her children, marveling at Allah’s creation—were special. They were a reminder of how blessed they were to be part of Allah’s beautiful world.

As the afternoon sun began to set, the family continued to talk, laugh, and wonder about the amazing world Allah had created just for them.
